  1. Beisa Oryx (Oryx beisa): The Beisa Oryx, also known as the East African Oryx, is a distinctive antelope with long, straight horns and a striking black-and-white facial pattern. It is well adapted to arid environments and can go for extended periods without water.
  2. Reticulated Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata): The reticulated giraffe is known for its striking, geometrically patterned coat with a network of well-defined, reddish-brown patches outlined by white lines. It is a subspecies of the giraffe and is primarily found in northern Kenya.
  3. Somali Ostrich (Struthio molybdophanes): The Somali ostrich is a distinct subspecies of ostrich known for its distinctive blue-gray skin and smaller feathers. It is well-suited to the arid landscapes of the Samburu region.
  4. Grevy’s Zebra (Equus grevyi): Grevy’s zebra is the largest and most endangered species of zebra. It can be identified by its narrow black stripes and white belly. The Samburu National Reserve is one of the key areas for Grevy’s zebra conservation.
  5. Gerenuk (Litocranius walleri): The gerenuk is a unique and graceful antelope with a long neck and slender body. It is known for its ability to stand on its hind legs to reach high foliage, making it well-suited for browsing in arid areas.
